On Monday 13th July our visitors from Germany arrived in the late afternoon for a weeks visit. Rev Uwe Onnen (their leader) was pleased when Jean and Brenda were there to greet and welcome them. We had a lovely evening in the Hall on the Thursday and the Cubs really enjoyed it as did the adults. Margaret welcomed them with love and friendship. They presented us with the map of Britain with their signatures and David Lynch has kindly put it up for us in the foyer. It was lovely to see the young people joining in with our conversation and they all spoke good English. Brenda and Jean waved them off on Saturday morning after Uwe presented Brenda with a cheque for the Church, which was a lovely surprise to us, and she thanked him very much. They left leaving us with many lovely memories, and we invited them to come again, when they can. They sang some lovely Hymns in English. Best wishes to them and God Bless them all, and thanks to Jean and Brenda for all their hospitality skills and time spent looking after them.
